Amir Ghods is a transportation engineer and entrepreneur based in Ottawa. He holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has spent over 15 years working in traffic data analytics, control, and optimization.
He is the founder and CEO of SMATS Traffic Solutions, where he develops IoT and big data solutions for traffic monitoring and AI-powered analytics. His academic research has been widely cited in the fields of transportation systems and intelligent transportation. He has received awards from the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineering (CITE), and the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators.
