Ghazal Farhani (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Western Ontario in 2019. She is currently a Research Officer with the Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Centre at the National Research Council Canada. Her work focuses on the development and application of physics-informed, data-driven, and machine-learning methods for engineering systems, with experience spanning remote sensing, connected and autonomous vehicles, wearable sensing, manufacturing, and environmental monitoring. She has contributed to multidisciplinary projects involving sensor data analysis, algorithm development, uncertainty-aware modeling, and the translation of scientific methods into practical engineering solutions. Her research interests include machine learning, physical modeling, optimization, sensor systems, data analytics, and autonomous mobility applications.
