
Sam Metari
Research Officer — National Research Council of Canada
Samy Metari is a Research Officer with the Intelligent Transportation Systems group at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC). He joined the NRC in 2021 after working more than a decade in the computer vision industry and serving as a research fellow at Laval University. His expertise includes image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Samy holds a PhD in computer vision from the University of Sherbrooke, a master’s degree in image processing from the University of Poitiers in France, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Constantine University in Algeria.
