Phil Masters

Phil Masters has more than 45 years’ experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). He spent 33 years with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation in ITS and traffic signals and led the ITS program for the province. Since retiring from MTO Phil has continued to work in ITS around the world including key involvement in the ITS for Dubai and creating requirements/Owners Engineer for the ITS on the new Gordie Howe International Bridge. Phil is an Emeritus Member of the US Transportation Research Board and has received a number of personal awards including the Distinguished ITS Canada Member of the Year award in 2011.
