Gregg D. Brunner, P.E., is Chief Operations Officer and Chief Engineer for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). He has held key leadership roles across MDOT and is a recognized advocate for traffic safety and innovation. Brunner co-leads the Michigan Liaison Committee for the Gordie Howe International Bridge, served on the Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission, and represents MDOT on the Council of Future Mobility and Electrification. He is active with AASHTO, where he serves as liaison to the Transportation Association of Canada Chief Engineers’ Panel. He holds a civil engineering degree from Michigan State University.
