Ministère des Transports du Québec

The mission of the ministere des Transports du Quebec is to ensure the mobility of people and goods throughout Quebec with an efficient and safe transportation system that contributes to the economic, social, and sustainable development of Quebec. A dedicated ITS team was set up in January 2000, in the Policy and safety branch. Many ITS projects are underway or planned in areas like traffic management systems in Montreal and Quebec city and others in development, travelers information systems, road network maintenance systems and border infrastructure improvements along the Quebec – New York trade corridor and other planned corridors.
